A apenas dos meses del fin de mi residencia, y en un momento de mi vida en que cada minuto está ocupado con algo, he decidido por fin dar un paso más y saltar a este mundo de blogueros.
Tras cuatro años de exilio en Cuenca, que han tenido buenos momentos pero que a veces también han llegado a ser muy duros, estoy a punto de convertirme oficialmente en ginecóloga-obstetra. Pero más allá de eso yo lo veo y lo estoy viviendo como el momento en que se cierra una etapa y se abre una pagina nueva de mi libro. A partir de ahora espero poder dedicarme íntegramente a lo que más me apasiona: el activismo.
¿Por qué he decidido comenzar un blog?
Hace algunos años, una persona muy querida e importante para mi me dijo una frase que me marcó y se quedó para acompañarme: “El conocimiento está para compartirlo y difundirlo. Si no compartes tus conocimientos, al final se perderán”. Y es eso justamente lo que pretendo hacer con este blog. Se podría decir que estoy tan sólo entrando en este mundo de la cooperación internacional y del activismo social, pero espero poder ir adquiriendo poco a poco conocimientos que pueda compartir con vosotros y que podamos así contribuir a hacer de este mundo un lugar mejor, más sostenible y equilibrado.
Aquí hablaremos de lo que yo llamo “activismo al alcance de la mano”, es decir, pequeñas cosas que todos podemos hacer para aportar nuestro grano de arena. Hablaremos de globalización, de sostenibilidad y por supuesto, teniendo en cuenta de que es mi especialidad, de salud sexual y reproductiva y de la igualdad de la mujer. También diría que no hablaremos de temas como la “moda”, pero ¿quien sabe? posiblemente haya cosas interesantes que podamos discutir… ¿no?
Este blog además se convertirá en un diario de viaje cada vez que me involucre en algún proyecto interesante del que tenga cosas que contar, lo que espero que ocurra a menudo y que probablemente comenzará muy pronto.
La gente que me conoce y mantiene contacto conmigo ya sabe que me encanta bombardear con temas sociales y polémicos, y al fin y al cabo eso es lo que pretendo hacer aquí, esperando que vosotros me ayudéis a difundirlos.

Just a couple months away from finishing my residency, and in a moment of my life in which every minute is busy with something, I have finally decided to take a step ahead and jump into this bloggers world.
After four years of exile in Cuenca, with good moments but sometimes tough ones too, I am about to become officially a gynaecologist-obstetrician. But further than that I see it it as a moment where a stage closes and a new page of the book opens for me. From now on, I hope I can focus on what I am more passionate about: the activism.
Why did I decide to start a blog?
A few years ago, a beloved and very important person for me told me something that marked me and stayed with me: “Knowledge is something to share and spread. If you don’t share your knowledge, it will disappear with you”. And that is what I just want to do on this blog. We could say I am just entering this world of International Cooperation and Social Activism, but I hope I will keep on learning things that I can share with you and this way we can contribute in making this world a better place, more sustainable and balanced.
Here, we will talk about what I call “activism within hands reach”, in other words, the little things we all can change to do our bit.
We will talk about globalization, sustainability and of course, taking into account that it is my speciality, about sexual and reproductive health and women´s equality.
I would also say that we will not talk about topics like “fashion”, but, who knows? There might be interesting things we can discuss, right?
This blog will become as well a travel journal every time I get involved in any interested project, what I expect to happen often and what I think that will come pretty soon.
